Why are People so Obsessed with Captain Jack’s?

Before we get into the drink situation at Captain Jack’s, let me explain what Jack’s is first.

Captain Jack’s is a Disneyland Paris sit-down restaurant in the Adventureland area of Disneyland Park. People tend to be a tad bit obsessed since it’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Lucky diners get to sit next to the Pirates river and watch guests drift by as they start their journey into the ride. The lighting is dim, the sound design is immersive, the air is humid with that “Pirates” smell, and it really does feel like you’re dining in a nighttime Caribbean bay. It’s one of the most unique dining settings in any Disney park.

That’s exactly why people keep asking if they can pop in for just a drink.

I Really Can’t Order Just a Drink at Captain Jack’s?

Nope. Captain Jack’s is a table-service restaurant where you have to order a meal (either from a set menu or ala carte). And, while there are alcoholic drinks, the restaurant doesn’t have a lounge or do a drinks only type service.

Where Can I Order Just a Drink Instead?

If you’re looking for somewhere to just have an alcoholic beverage while soaking in Disney, here are a few places that offer just what you’re looking for. They’re not sitting looking out on the Pirate’s river, but they all have their own unique atmosphere!

Skyline Bar inside The Art of Marvel hotel. Not only does it have a sleek, upscale feeling that gives you a view of the New York skyline, you get to order Marvel themed drinks!

Redwood Bar & Lounge at the Sequoia Lodge Hotel. At this location not only can you purchase cocktails and other alcoholic beverages, you can order food to go along with it. There’s Sandwiches, snacks and desserts!

Cafe Fantasia in the Disneyland Hotel. This is another upscale classy feeling lounge that has a full drink menu and serves nibbles and bites. At certain points through the day there’s even live entertainment!

Star Wars Lounge Lightspeed in Disneyland Park. This is a new concept launched in 2025 and Lounge Lightspeed can be found at the top of Starport. Unfortunately, this location doesn’t have a full drinks menu or diverse cocktails, however you and your family can partake in two different virgin cocktails which come with Star Wars themed cookies.

Alternatively, there is an option of colas, wine or beer with the biscuits.
