Using an Efteling Subscription to Visit Europa-Park for Free
If you’re an Efteling subscription holder, one of the perks is the ability to visit Europa-Park free, once per calendar year. I redeemed my 2025 ticket when I visited early December.
This benefit is real and the process to get your free entry is painless.
Can You Really Visit Europa-Park for Free?
Yes! As per the Efteling Subscription benefits page (only in dutch), a subscription holder is entitled to free admission. I redeemed my free ticket for the first time during my December visit, so it is indeed real.
When Can You Redeem the Free Europa-Park Ticket?
As stated above, if you’re an Efteling subscription holder, you can redeem your free entry once per calendar year. The current period is March 22, 2025 until January 18, 2026.
How to Redeem Your Free Park Entry
During my stay, I redeemed my ticket at my Europa-Park hotel. Since I checked in to the Colsseo digitally, I didn’t have a chance to get it during check in. So I simply went to registration after my first day at the park.
Getting my free Europa-park ticket for my 3rd day at the park was really painless. All reception needed from me was my room number and my Efteling subscription card. According to the Efteling subscription benefits page, they could have asked me for my ID as well. So make sure you have your drivers license or passport handy just in case.
Overall, it probably took a little longer to get my ticket due to the fact the person helping me was being trained. Their trainer had to show them what to click and enter. Honestly, I probably waited maybe 5 minutes more than I would if an experienced person helped me. It wasn’t bad at all and the desk staff were super nice.
Remember, if you’re staying at a hotel it’s important to get your ticket connected to your reservation so you can utilize the VIP entry (i.e. entering the park an hour early from the VIP entrance). Otherwise you’d have to use the front entrance.
What If I’m Not Staying at a Park Hotel?
If you’re not staying at a park hotel, then you’d redeem your free ticket to Europa-Park at the information point at the park’s main entrance. Once again you’ll need your Efteling pass and ID. However, reservations aren’t required. Just make sure other people in your party who had to buy tickets have a reservation or you’ll be the only one going into the park!
