What is the Wellenflug?
The Wellenflug is a class of attraction known as wave swingers. They’re also known as swing carousels or chair swings. This type of ride has been a beloved attraction at amusement parks and fairs since the early 20th century.
This particular wave swinger is a well loved and permanent installation at Phantasialand. However, there are companies who make swing rides for carnivals and fairs. Some just swing and some will tilt like a wave swinger. Regardless, they all are close to the same concept both in ride mechanics and chairs.

Where is Wellenflug Located?
If you make your way to the Kaiserplatz square in Berlin, you can't miss the wave swinger!
Are There Restraints on the Ride?
Yes. The seats have a thin metal bar that rises up over your head then settles on your lap. There is also a chain that is clipped to the bar that goes in between the legs.
How Many Can Ride at Once?
Up to 48 guests can ride the swing at the same time.
Are There Height Restrictions?
Yes. Children below the height of 1 meter (3 feet 3 inches) can not ride the Wellenflug. Those between the 1 and 1.2 meter (3 feet 3 inches and 3 feet 11 inches) must ride with an adult in the double seats.
How Long Does the Ride Last?
The swing can take up to 3 minutes at a time.
Can Guests Bring Bags on Board?
No. Guests must stow their bag in a location that the employee tells them before sitting in a swing.
Is There a Single Rider Line?
No. The Wellenflug does not support single rider lines.

Are There Stairs in the Queue?
No. The entire queue is on flat, level ground.
Is the Roller Coaster Wheelchair Friendly?
No. Guests with special needs can not swing.
Are There Other Mobility Challenges?
Guests must be able to get themselves into the swing seat, under the lap bar.
Is the Ride Service Dog Friendly?
No. This swing attraction is not service dog friendly. Your party will have to hold on to your animal.
What Sensory Stimulations Can Be Expected?
